1st international workshop on "Virus & Brain" to be held in Montpellier, France on June 2-3, 2026

Registration is free but mandatory. Invited speakers include: Robyn Klein (Western Univ, Canada), Soren Paludan (Aarhus Univ, Denmark), Carl Sellgren (Karolinska Institute, Sweden), Patricia Beltrao-Braga (Univ Sao Paulo, Brazil), Muriel Coulpier (ANSES/INRAE, France), Raphael Gaudin (IRIM CNRS, France), Jean-Pierre Levraud (NeuroPSI Saclay, France), Anna Overby (Umea Univ, Sweden), Debby van Riel (Erasmus MC, The Netherlands), Réjan Rua (CIML Marseille, France).

The scientific program will include invited presentations and selected oral communications based on abstract to be submitted before April 1st here. The program will be divided into three main sessions:
Session 1. Virus & Cells – Cellular and Molecular neurobiology of infections
Session 2. Virus & Neuropathogenesis – Neurological and neurocognitive dysfunctions upon infection
Session 3. Virus & Immunity – Mechanisms associated with neuroinflammation and antiviral responses

In addition, a networking social event will take place on the first evening. The organization of round-table discussions will also provide a forum to foster dialogue, stimulate new interactions, and encourage joint initiatives leading to future collaborative projects. The following thematic will be addressed:
– Viral encephalitis
– Neurocognitive virology
– Environmental neurovirology
