About This Special Issue

Viruses shape every ecosystem on Earth. They influence the evolution of humans, animals, plants, insects, fungi, bacteria, archaea and aquatic organisms, regulate global microbial communities, impact agriculture and food security, drive biodiversity, and continue to challenge public health, veterinary medicine, environmental sustainability and the global economy.

This Special Issue, organized in conjunction with WSV2027 under the theme "Viruses Challenging the World," provides an international platform for publishing outstanding research spanning the full breadth of modern virology.
